5 Essentials I Wish I had in my First Semester

5 Essentials I Wish I had in my First Semester

Sturdy Backpack
With classes throughout the day, your backpack will be hanging on your shoulders. Laptop, books, wallet, water bottle and your keys; these things will almost permanently reside in your backpack. So, do yourself a favor and invest in a sturdy backpack with wide straps and lots of storage space.

Comfy Shoes
You are going to be walking A LOT in college. Basic sliders or flat sandals are perfect if you don’t want sore feet after running back and forth to classes all day. So, if you want one less problem in your life, then you must invest in a pair of super comfortable and extremely light weight shoes.

Water Bottle
Besides the fact that a re-useable water bottle is eco-friendly, it saves you a ton of money because you don’t have to keep buying disposable water bottles from the cafeteria. It’s extremely important to stay hydrated and having a water bottle on you at all times lets you do just that. Trust me, this water bottle will especially come in handy after a tiring charity marathon or the morning after an epic frat party.

Portable Charger
There’ll be days when you leave your dorm room before dawn and return after its dark outside. On such hectic days, you need to be able to communicate at all times. Having a portable charger saves you the risk of getting stranded at a bus stop or stood up for a study session because other people couldn’t reach you.

Custom First Aid Kit
There’s nothing worse than falling sick when you’re away from home. Having a couple of over-the-counter medicines for cold, fever, stomach infection and acidity is literally a life saver. Don’t forget to have your allergy medication on you at all times.
