Australian Universities provide scholarships to international students wanting to study in Australia. Here is information about some of the major scholarships available for international undergraduate students:
1. MONASH UNIVERSITY
– Monash International Merit Scholarship
How to apply: Before applying for this scholarship, you must have received a full Monash course offer with no conditions.
Scholarship Value: $10000 per annum
Number of Scholarships Offered: 31
Eligibility criteria
1. Must be an Australian Student Visa Holder
2. Good academic average – 85- 95

2. UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
– Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship
No application is required. Students will be automatically considered for this award
Scholarship Value: $56000
Number of Scholarships: 50
Eligibility criteria:
1. Have received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course;
2. Have achieved excellent final year school results, such as:
- A-grades in the GCE A Levels
- overall 98% in an approved Foundation program
- an International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 44; and
3. Awarded on the basis of academic merit and allocated on a competitive basis subject to quotas by course and region.

3. WESTERN SYDNEY UNIVERSITY
– Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships
Scholarship Value: 50% of the tuition cost covered for a maximum of 3 years
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must:
1. be international students with a Higher Education Sector Visa. (Subclass 500)
2. commence a new course of study in 2018.
3. have received an offer of admission to Western Sydney University.
4. have met all admission requirements and accepted admission offer by acceptance deadline.
5. has met the academic requirement for scholarship as listed below.
6. had achieved a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent in higher secondary studies.
7. not be seeking to make an application for advanced standing for their course prior to, or after enrolment.
How to apply:
– Short-listing will be carried out by a panel of officers from the University. No separate scholarship application will be required.
– Finalists will be notified via email by the University and will be requested to provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career.

4. UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
– UWA India Undergraduate Scholarship
No applications are necessary. Eligible applicants will be offered the scholarship at enrolment.

– No substantial Scholarships
The student must have an unconditional offer of admission from the university
