What you must know as an aspirant
You must have heard of the Harvard Business Review, if you are a business student. Well you must, if you intend to pursue education in the best institutions on the planet. Situated in the idyllic cosmopolitan of Boston, Mas, Harvard Business School is the graduate school of Harvard University, and boasts of being home to some of the best minds in the world. The school offers a full-time MBA programs amidst other equally lucrative programs.
Like some exotic (though not secret) associations in the world (read Avengers), Harvard is part of an elite group of the most powerful and reputed educational institutes, famously called the M-7. Its associates include the giants of Booth, Columbia, Kellogg, MIT Sloan, Stanford GSB, and Wharton. So, making it into the university is bound to make ANYONE feel special, isn’t it? But that is no mean task. So here is a list of 10 things about the school that every HBS aspirant needs to know!
Application and Fee
Let’s get down to business- HBS needs its applicants to have a degree from an accredited US four-year program or its international equivalent of a three-year bachelor’s degree, is required. GMAT or GRE test results are a prerequisite for admission. If you belong to non-English speaking college background, you need to also supplement your application with TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE test. Also, LORs are a must.
The application fee to the university is 250$ while tuition fee for all candidates is 75000$ for two terms, i.e. first year. However, there are possibilities of finding an external source of financial aid, of which the college needs to be informed. Also, Fifty percent of HBS students are eligible for need-based scholarships, in addition to science-based fellowships and non-profit fellowships.
Student life
It must be one amazing experience to be a part of such culture. HBS, which boasts of alumni of international repute, is also equally known for its progressive student association body. Acting as an interface between students and administration, the SA has a Senate (sounds fancy? ), its legislative wing which communicates with the admin and other campus groups, with representatives from each major committee.

Admission statistics
Well Harvard administrations are picky people to say the least. In 2016, out of 9543 applications that their board received, the percent stood at a meagre 12%. However, their yield stood at 89%! Applications to its doctoral programs, which stood at a staggering 844, were met with on 4% admittance rate. So, you need to be very careful with your application work and resume.
