International Scholarships for Engineering Students

With the growth in STEM avenues both for men and women, scholarships for engineering mathematics, technology and science students, have seen a rise. They are now more recognised, more widely available and more encompassing in terms of international students.
Singapore scholarships
NUS Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship – This scholarship requires no separate application to the university and is offered to undergraduate students from all Asian countries (excluding Singapore) and covers, among other things, tuition fees, compulsory fees and living costs.
United Kingdom
QMUL International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards – Various UK scholarships for international students to study engineering at Queen Mary University of London in the UK.
University of Manchester Engineering Scholarships – Various scholarships to study engineering at undergraduate level at the University of Manchester, for both domestic and international students.
United States of America
AACE International Scholarships – STEM scholarships for full-time students completing a degree in engineering or another STEM subject. Separate funds available for US, Canadian and international students.
At MIT, the largest source of undergraduate financial aid is the MIT Scholarship, a need-based grant. These are based on your family’s ability to contribute towards the price of your education.
Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship Award (MIT): $32,000/ 9-month personal stipend, Renewable for up to 5 years
Echoing Green Fellowship (MIT): A stipend of $80,000 for individuals, or $90,000 for 2-person partnerships, a health insurance stipend.
University of California, Berkeley (UCB)/ Berkeley Fellowships: Outstanding applicants to doctoral programs in all fields
Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Fellowship (UCB): Highly talented science and engineering doctoral students.
Fulbright Foreign Student Program (Harvard): Tuition fees, stipend, health insurance and airfare.
Fulbright Program for Foreign Students (Caltech): Awarded to citizens from other countries for master’s or PhD degree in the US.
American Association of University Women (AAUW) – International Fellowships: offered to International students who have earned bachelor’s degree equivalent to US bachelor’s degree
Australia
Australia APEC Women in Research Fellowships – Aims to raise the profile of female role-models in STEM subjects with merit-based scholarships available to pursue research opportunities in partnership with Australian institutions. To be eligible, you must be from one of the eligible Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) countries
Germany
Kurt Hansen Science Scholarships – Science scholarships to study in Germany, funded by the Bayer Foundation and open to students who are training to become educators in the field of science.
DAAD Scholarships – The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers many scholarships for international students to study in Germany at various degree levels
Erasmus+ – The largest provider of scholarships for study in the EU, Erasmus+ is led by the European Commission, funding international students to study in Europe
